Krakow, my Krakow

After yesterday's events, we actually slept in a bit and got a later start.  I'm not getting any younger, in case you forgot.  After a great breakfast at a place just outside the Old Town, we did some exploring.

The Cloth Hall

Inside the Cloth Hall.  It was entirely souvenir sellers. We bought something, of course.

Kraków Barbican.  Like the one in Warsaw, it was part of the city's defenses.  Connected to...

After this, we wound up near Krakow's train station and mall.  We did some shopping then rode the tram around a bit until we were hungry.  We rode to the Jewish Quarter and did the touristy thing, buying a zapiekankiI'd describe it as a French bread pizza, but it was much more than that and there were a lot of varieties.

The zapiekanki.   It had  bacon, cheese, mushrooms, and dill sauce.  It was good but even though we shared it, we couldn't finish it.

That's all we could fit in today, so we took an Uber back to the hotel.  I really like Kraków but it is not as easy to get around as Warsaw was.  The construction all over doesn't help, and I'm making a judgement after only two days, but I also think there just aren't the connections or network here that Warsaw had.

Tomorrow we drive to our next town, Wrocław.  But first we will try to see Wawel Castle.  We can see it from our hotel's neighborhood, but just haven't had the time.

Whew--finally caught up.
